Casa Community Center

The Casa Community Center provides a variety of programs and activities that connect, nurture and support life-long learning, health and wellness, recreation, life enrichment and intergenerational opportunities. A Conscious Aging workshop series explores a new vision of growing older. We also offer shopping trips in Green Valley, monthly shopping in Tucson, lunches in the community, and field trips to area attractions. There is no charge for attending the Center though some educational field trips, presentations or series may require a nominal fee.

The Center is open from Monday through Friday. For information regarding Casa de Esperanza transportation, call 625-2273. The Pima County Rural Transit has designated the Casa Community Center as one of its scheduled route bus stops. One-way fares are $1.00. Schedules and additional information are available by calling 740-6398.

Senior Lunch

The Senior Lunch, housed in Casa’s Community Center, provides opportunities for social interaction and a nutritious noon meal for adults (60 and over) living in Green Valley and the surrounding area. The meals are funded by the Older Americans Act by a grant to Pima Council on Aging and Catholic Social Services in collaboration with Casa. It is Green Valley’s only congregate meal site. A $2.00 donation is suggested for the meal.

Wheel-chair accessible van transportation is an important aid offered to the adults attending the Senior Lunch and other activities at the Center. We provide door-to-door, one-way trips to and from the Casa Community Center for people who do not drive or find it difficult to leave their home due to common issues of aging. Suggested donation for transportation is $2 per way.

Please contact Sue Colley at 625-2273 or scolley@casacanhelp.org for more information.
